2 cupfuls sour milk 1 egg flour, either graham, wheat flour or buckwheat butter, size of egg ½ teaspoonful salt 1 teaspoonful soda 1 teaspoonful sugar Add the beaten egg to the sour milk, then stir in the salt, sugar, soda dissolved in a little water, the softened butter and enough flour to make a batter like that of cake. Fry and serve as prepared. Bread crumbs or even corn meal with part flour may be used instead of all flour, or buckwheat, or graham flour may be substituted.
