Evelyn Monologue from A Comedy of Youth

From A Comedy of Youth by St. John Hankin

female · comedic · 41 sec

I don't know that I do like cuckoos so much after all. They sound to me rather selfish. Clumsy creature! How can you say that? I don't believe he said anything of the kind. And I don't believe ducks are clever one bit. They don't look clever. Well, I think ducks are horrid, and cuckoos, too. And I believe most birds like bringing up their chickens and feeding them and looking after them. Mr. Harburton!
