1 cupful sugar 1 cupful milk ½ cupful butter 4 cupfuls flour 2 eggs 2 teaspoonfuls baking powder 1 teaspoonful salt 1 teaspoonful vanilla flavoring Cream sugar and softened butter, add beaten eggs, half the flour, flavoring, salt and more flour with baking powder sifted in. Stir in all the flour possible, turn on a moulding board, working in only enough flour to make the mixture roll into a soft one-half inch dough. Then proceed as in Doughnuts.
